Thomas W. Little – Founder and President

Prior to founding Little & Associates, Inc., Mr. Little served as a project architect for fourteen years, where he was involved in the design, supervision and construction of large commercial and residential buildings and homes as well as land planning.

In the late seventies, Mr. Little became active in the real estate business and became directly involved in developing commercial, retail, residential, industrial and medical buildings and other types of build-to-suit projects throughout the northeast and mid-Atlantic region.

While Mr. Little served as Vice President of development and construction with Turner Development (a subsidiary of Turner Construction Company), The Linpro Company (now called LCOR) and Birtcher, he was responsible for the development of nearly fifty million square feet of various types of buildings and residences.

Mr. Little’s many accomplishments include the Meritorious Award from President George H. Walker and Mrs. Bush as well as the Director of the GSA for developing and building the first prototype day care center two blocks from the White House in Washington, D.C. The day care center prototype continues to be used extensively throughout the United States.

Mr. Little relocated to the southeast to head the planning, design, and development of a 125,000-square-foot mansion for a Saudi Arabian Prince in Palm Beach, Florida, Little & Associates was founded on the basis of providing Owner’s Representative services to the industry and is currently serving as an Owner’s Representative on a 38,000-square-foot private, oceanfront home in South Florida.

For the last several years the company has been involved in providing Due Diligence, Needs Assessment, Acquisition, Feasibility Analysis, Owner’s Representative Services, Design Development, Zoning & Permitting and Construction & Project Management for various types of projects. Project types include: assisted living facilities, medical office buildings, hospitals, mixed-use projects, multi-family residential, retail centers, and high- rise condominiums located throughout the northeast, southwest, and southeast. Little & Associates, Inc. has been in business since 1992.

Mr. Little was also a partner in a design build general construction firm in the southeast that specialized in the development and construction of hospitals, medical office buildings, and various types of medical facilities as well as the renovation of major hospitals.  

Mr. Little attended the University of Virginia, School of Architecture and also served in the United States Marine Corp.
